M & C are set to tie the knot this fall so we met in Old Town Alexandria this spring for the engagement session.  What a cute, cute couple and I hope they have years and years of happiness ahead of them…

I love, love, love repeat sessions!  I photographed this sweet baby boy when he was just a month old and a little over a year later I got the chance to point my camera at him again and he is just as handsome now as he was then.  Don’t you just adore those brown eyes?

I met this sweet family last year and we hit the Cherry Blossoms in their peak.  This year we scheduled our session in advance and overshot the Cherry Blossoms.  We enjoyed a quiet morning downtown without the usual mass of photographers that line the tidal basin but missed the blossoms.  It’s a good thing sweet Caroline in her pretty pink dress could light up the photos since we missed the blossoms.

Saturday afternoon in Georgetown can get a little wild…throw in the nicest day this fall, a family of five, a dog and a photographer and it can get a little out of control!  But I think we got some great payoff from racing around trying to catch the last light of the day, avoiding being hit by cars, getting a two year old to sit still, and wrangling a dog.  This family has some serious natural beauty but Julie did an outstanding job accentuating their good looks with fantastic wardrobes.  It was hard to narrow this group down so check them all out here.

This sweet little girl was not a fan of me or my camera so it was a good thing that first time parents Brian and Amber are naturals and were able to calm her down each time I stirred her up!  Enjoy this precious baby girl…

In this digital age I am thankful that somebody out there prints their pictures and displays them in their home because this adorable family came as a referral from another adorable family who had some of my images of them displayed in their entryway.  These kids were so enthusiastic about their photos and they were so cooperative and such naturals in front of the camera.  I think the highlight of our session for them was the beaver they spotted in the creek down by the Grist Mill but here are a few of my favorite highlights….

I know I’ve mentioned before how much I love repeat clients but it is seriously so much fun to see these precious little newborns turn into toddlers.  Abby was an adorable newborn with a head full of the most gorgeous dark hair and ten months later she is still an absolute doll.  I think I could have included all the images from this shoot below because they are all my favorite but you’ll have to go here to see the whole collection.

I can’t take credit for these adorable photos except for choosing to marry the hot guy in them and for producing the cute kids in them!  While we were in Utah we had Robert’s cousin’s wife (got that?) Adri take our family photos.  She chose a perfect location – downtown Ogden has the most charming, rustic locations to shoot.  I wish we had had more time but my grumpy kids were done with the shoot from the beginning.  She did a fantastic job of capturing our images.  Thanks Adri!

I am going to start integrating some of my personal pictures in here because I never update my personal blog and I want to showcase my beautiful family!  We endured a horrible 5 hour flight to spend 3 glorious days in the beautiful Uintah mountains with my mom’s side of the family.  We spent time at my uncle’s gorgeous cabin there and everyone had a blast four wheeling, swinging, hiking, eating, playing games and just being together.  Enjoy a few of my favorite shots from our trip and as always if you are really drawn in you can view the rest here.

Remember Christine and Alex’s first session?  Well here is their second session with Alex’s mom and her husband.  I have loved working with Christine and Alex and seeing their dynamic relationships with their extended family.  Alex’s mom scoped out our location, Colvin Run Mill and it turned out perfect.  We only had to share the place with the bugs early one Saturday morning.
