Happy Birthday America…

We had a truly all American day….Robert volunteered at an Eagle Scout project and then we hit the water. We had lunch at Tim’s River Shore Shack on the beach with crabs and shrimp galore (and of course chicken for me!) Everything is more appetizing when it’s served on a lunch tray….   Mmmmm, crabs….. A zillion grains of sand, but only 7 days of vacation…

I spent seven wonderful days at one of my favorite places in the entire world (Outer Banks, NC) but without my favorite person (Robert).  However seventeen of my other favorite people did join me….my parents, sisters, brother in law, nephews, grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousins. Jason and Andrea formed quite the oldest child bond…just ask [...]

Goodbyes…

This is my friend Terri…. She works with me.  Except she works nights so we only see each other in passing for about an hour in the morning when I am not yet awake enough to carry on a conversation and she is too delirious from being up all night to care. She is leaving though to [...]

We had a number of couples from church over to our house last night and it couldn’t have been nicer.  The weather was perfect and we spent the evening out on the deck eating good food and catching up with friends.  The cuisine was baseball themed and we had all kinds of funs things, homemade [...]

Shrimp Anyone???

The weather was supposed to be horrible all weekend, but the forecast changed and a short window opened up on Saturday.   The Sherrards  took us up on our last minute invite and agreed to go out on the boat for a few hours and have some some lunch at Tim’s. We love cruising around on [...]

Around Old Town….

I had Wednesday off last week.  Obama may want to think about passing some sort of law which requires all employers to get Wednesday off and not allow employees to work more then 2 days in any given stretch.  Cari and I had a great time wandering around old town Alexandria.  It really was a [...]

Thunderstorm Tee-Ball

We spent the rainy evening at our Nephew’s (Nick) Tee-Ball game last night. It was definitely an interesting experience. Nick and his teammates are 5 so they are just old enough to grasp the game, but not entirely understand the finer points of playing it (i.e. where to throw the ball when it comes to [...]

Richmond Rendezvous

I met my roommate McKell in Richmond on Friday. It was so much fun to get to see her and her super cute mom and sister. Of course I followed Robert’s instructions to take my camera with me everywhere and I snapped a few shots of our afternoon together.
